A Special Meeting of all members of the OGC&DA will be held at 7.30pm Wednesday 13^th August at The Grove Centre (next to Library).   This meeting will be immediately prior to the August Forum and has been called to consider two items of business. These two items will be:  

1.  That the name of the Ocean Grove & District Community Association Inc. be changed to Ocean Grove Community Association Inc. 
2. That the joining fee to the Association be $20 (twenty dollars) per Member (household) and that no ongoing annual fee will be charged. Members who have paid $20 since April 2007 will be considered to have paid the new joining fee.

Note:  As this is a Special Meeting of the Association requiring 21 days notice no other items of business will be discussed.

Ocean Grove 2013-2018

1. Council Services
   Greater share of rates revenue for expenditure at Ocean Grove
2. Public Transport
   Improve co-ordination of all public transport (main buses, taxis, community buses) and increase frequency of main buses.
3. Culture
   Establish a cultural precinct including an indoor multi-purpose space and sound shell (at Ocean Grove Park).
4. State Services
   Establish a tertiary education campus (Deakin University, Gordon TAFE) on the Bellarine Peninsula and protect our foreshore.
5. Private Transport
   Improve traffic flow and car parking around the Town Centre including intersection of Presidents Avenue and The Parade (particularly given the opening of the new Target Store in December 2008, between Hodgson Street and Presidents Ave make The Parade one way (east to west) and The Avenue one way (west to east), and address The Parade between Tuckfield Street and Hodgeson Street) by connecting Tuckfield Street to The Terrace.
6. Planning
   - Traffic Congestion
   - Centralised function and theatre complete (multi-purpose space)
   - Tertiary education facility.
